Events

  • Summer events- Items for summer Green Scene Newsletter- Agreed to not necessarily do events every month
  • Debrief Waud Bluff-  26 people came, different people from our community meetings.  45 minute walk Scott is entering names from sign up sheet and will email thanks for participating and message on Waud Bluff
  • April 14th bike ride-Jason to lead, start at Carey and Princeton, Scott to do press release
  • Great Blue Heron walk June 9th –Francie sent blurb to Mike Houck
  • May 31st community meeting at BES Water Lab

 

Government Relations

  • Commissioner  Dan Saltzman tour April 13 –Curt, Francie, Paul and Lenny with 2 people from adidas, Francie to prepare  route and hand out materials
  • Bond measure stakeholder group-no consultant hired yet
  • Regional Trails group meeting April 18th 1:00-3:00-Curt will attend
  • The Rails to Trails mobile workshop/planning meetings and event—next meeting Metro, April 18th 3:00 -4:30 –Scott and Pam attend
  • TSP Update-city council action March 29th , if necessary Francie will write letter and submit at hearing  
  • We need a road map how to get in line for funding of trail segments- Francie to work on it

 

 

 

 

Communications/Outreach

  • Neighborhood Association Meeting assignments-   Scott signed up for Piedmont
  • e-newsletter-Scott to do one with April 14th ride and maybe info on the TSP update hearing—Francie to get him information
  • letter for Overlook and others NA—Paul to polish off and get out
  • voice mail message line on Mary’s phone for event, etc.?  Paul to investigate

 

 Other items

  • Any updated on submitted Grant Applications or Applications still to be submitted?—no information, Curt to find out from Joe if the committee has met
  • Cost of trail research –Curt and Francie meeting with Alta to explore cost estimate
  • We agreed to join Rails to Trails as a group—pay out of grant if we need to spend fund by end of June,  Curt generously offered to cover the $50
  • Business cards-Scott working on it to have for our next core group meeting April 10
  • Treasurer-Jason will get the name/contact info of the woman who came to our Feb community meeting and offered to Francie
  • Liaisons to NAs- University Park-Scott/Paul, Cathedral Park-Jason, St Johns-Joe/Curt
