Outreach

 

1. We decided to have a public meeting in Jan or Feb and invite Waud Bluff trail planner, Willamette Cove planners.

 

2. Brochure printing---we have a couple of bids, and voted to spend  up to $2,000 for full color for the map and one color for the brochure side printing with up to $100 premium for vegetable ink and recycled paper –environmentally sound printing. 

 

Breen will follow through with printing contacts—either going with one bid or the other to meet the intent of the group.

Michelle will ask adidas if they can print.

Francie will buy plastic display racks.

Pam will make up list for distribution

3. E-news letter list- nothing to discuss

 

Government Relations

 

1. RTP hearings report that 3 of us went to the Nov 1st hearing and 2 were able to speak. Curt plans to attend the Nov 15th hearing.  All were encouraged to go on- line (link through the www.npgreenway.org  site to metro’s site and make comments in support of the npGreenway trail and a regional multipurpose trail network.

           

2. Tours with Randy Leonard- Paul has written an email requesting, and will follow up.

 

3. Willamette Cove

Pam and Francie will communicate to attempt to get Willamette Cove meeting together with all the actors, Port, DEQ, EPA, Metro, PPR,  by the end of 2007

 

Sullivan’s Gulch Meeting report

 

Lenny, Francie and Paul met with them and we are beginning discussions of a trail coalition.  The next meeting is December 6th at noon at Metro. Some other trail groups will be invited. Others from npGreenway welcome to come.

 

Other items

 

1. Grant reports- Pam needs volunteer hours for report for grant –all core group members should send her time and money you’ve spent and not gotten reimbursed.

 

2. Francie reported that Dana has the possibility of getting 100 donated t-shirts from adidas with the adidas logo on the back.  Pam suggested our logo on the front be   npGREENWAY “From the Esplanade to St Johns” general agreement to go ahead with the donation offer. 

 

3. Budget—more discussion needed to include money donated, pro bono donations for materials, etc. Pam and Francie will work on it and send it out for  our next core group meeting. December 4th.
